The Manor at Stark Farmsis a sprawling Southern Plantation-style home and longtime Odessa landmark. Built on a 40 acre parcel including a garage/ barn, professional stables, a hay barn, and a domed guest house. 

In 2001, the entire estate was put up for auction. The purchaser bought the estate with the intent of moving his family to the country. The family wanted to remain in the urban area of Tampa.

Not taking no for an answer the husband updated the entire interior to entice his family to choose country living over city living the family again declined and wanted to live in the city. The Manor was left empty for 16 years and fell into disrepair. The stables and guest house remained operating.

In 2017 Stark Farms began restoration on the Manor, guest home, stables and pastures and restoration still continues today. The Manor is listed on VRBO, the stables are full, horses and cattle roam the pastures and there is a field for harvesting hay.
